CalBike is a leader in connecting state-level advocates to grassroots groups around transportation justice. It’s a growing movement we are helping to strengthen to to build awareness of state decisions impacting mobility and community development.  

Our Mobility Justice Labs are central to building powerful new alliances at multiple scales to put pressure on decision makers from every angle: state, regional, and local. In collaboration with  PolicyLink, California Walks, and People for Mobility Justice (PMJ), these labs represent a new type  relationship-building that partners with and centers base-building and grassroots voices to strengthen and align the statewide transportation justice movement. The Labs unite transportation, housing, and environmental justice advocates to share actionable intelligence, monitor state actions, and organize responses to new threats and opportunities, and eventually shift the narrative on mobility from one focused on vehicles to one focused on people and our communities.
