Advocacy Week
As a constituent, you are the best person to educate your elected officials about how bicycling can make your own community better: more equitable, prosperous, healthy, and joyful!
That’s why CalBike organized Advocacy Week March 22-29. Our Legislature is in recess so we’re taking the message to their district offices!
As we roll through Advocacy Week, check in here for the most up-to-date Talking Points and Fact Sheets you need to be an effective advocate:
2018 Legislation Talking Points
We’re helping participants of Advocacy Week arrange and attend a meeting with their Assemblymember and their Senator to talk about why bicycling is important to them. We will help you to tell your own story and equip with you with talking points that support our movement’s agenda in Sacramento. Your visit will be critical to our campaigns, including our work to win the nation’s strongest mandates for bike/ped safety when roads are repaved.
California Bike Advocacy Week is here!
As we head into the spring recess, CalBike’s webinar will be up soon to go over everything you need to know to become a volunteer advocate, whether you’ve never spoken to one of your representatives before or you’re an experienced lobbyist for a better California.
